The Seattle PI is reporting that the non-stop rainy, windy weather pattern is bringing lots of snow to the Washington resorts and they’re planning on opening next week.

We were JUST talking about it last night. What are the relevant weather patterns for ski conditions across the US? Pineapple express affects Pacific Northwest and Colorado San Juans (they’re already gettering hammered this years). But what about, e.g., the pattern from last year in which Steamboat got hammered week after week, even when it was relatively dry elsewhere in Colorado?
Research is warranted….
Clearly, it’s climate change and good for skiing! Snoqualmie pass is going to get 8 inches of snow this weekend.
