Burton Hates Denver

I’m sure that’s not true. It may be that the close proximity to great ski mountains, lack of distractions past 1:30am when all our bars close, and the relative hotness of the UNPAID local gentry makes Denver a better bet that Vegas for SIA 2010.

Plus, when you drink at 5,280 feet, you get drunk faster… Again, something you’ll need since you have to go back to your hotel at quarter to two.

Burton went with a Vegas theme this year, right down to the casino tables and Velvii. (Vulva and Elvii? I make words happen!) And among their headtoppers we found this really cool piece. Mia was rocking full spandex, and the hat’s called the Vowell. We tried on a few hats, including a cool audio headband thingy, but you know how sometimes a woman will just look happier when they like what they’re wearing? That was Mia and Vowell. Boom. Done.

I like the palette, it works with the sunglasses, and it seems like it will keep you warm enough when you’re knocking back some rum-and-Bailey’s-based drinks at 1:30pm, which is when you prefer to call it a day.

And I will be right there with you. Also wearing white spandex, but just below the surface- where it means more.
